Human mind

Human mind is susceptible to adulteration and subservient to indoctrination by the diffusion of imperceptible brain waves carried on from one irresolute mind to the other or from one irresolute mind to a more resolute one, resulting in a catastrophe where each mind is left as vacillating as the other. And while the scattering of these contaminated waves is as natural and obvious as any other earthbound process, like the impregnation of stigma by pollen seeping in multitudes, the reverse is, if not impossible, yet, implausible!

What it leaves dangling is the question, "what is the remedy for such indoctrination ?", the classical axiom "prevention is better than cure" transcends beyond its usual meaning, remember about the implausibility !?!

Prevention, in precision, would be commanding and questioning the precept and keeping it chaste.

Beneath the fears.

All of us have fears, fears of the living, fears of the dead, fears of the light, fears of the dark, but there are certain fears that can't be categorized among any of these, there are all sorts of weird things that exist and some of us know about them, some of us don't, but then there are certain things that exist and we all know that it exists, but we dont know what is it..we are just aware of its presence, but we cant tell its form, we can tell that its watching us, but we aint sure what it intends, whatever it is, it is too powerful to be a human, too patient to be mortal, too nimble to be inanimate and too subtle to be docile.

It constantly keeps oscillating in the panoramic view of the visual perceptions, but its too quick for the nerves to decode its pattern. You dont know its contours, nor you are ever sure of its co-ordinates and nobody can predict what it wants, nor anybody can relate some of the strange things that happen in our lives with it, but it does instil into the blood, in the gray matter, into the minuscule driblets of sweat on the foreheard, drop-by-drop, a strange fear, a fear of the unknown.

It walks as you walk, it stops as you stop, or sometimes makes a full circle around you , as you stand still, it listens to what you say, and it listens to what you don't, it does not speak, but it can make a sound when its dark, and when there is nobody around, and when your sleep is fragile, it makes meekly audible sounds, clear enough to be heard, difficult enough to be deciphered, but once you hear it , you can't ignore it and you cant explain it, it fastens your heartbeat, numbs your feet, and you are completely awake from your sleep and you wish that you were not, and you wish it was just a figment of your imagination, but your brain simply refuses to accept such refutations, it cant accuse its own self for performing its function.

It knows that it is always around, always in the viewport, but when you are alone and when its dark it emerges from the background.

Denial has been in the flesh and blood of the humans, they denied the God and crucified the Christ, they denied his wisdom and poisoned Socrates, but disbelief does not affect the truth, though it does acknowledge it in a way, somewhere in the remotest precincts of the brain.

Innocent perpetrators.

Constant upheaving by little monsters who were granted refuge over a small planet , and then their storming of their own saviour, ravishing it, commiting the most heinous crimes, pouring chemicals on its face, strangulating it in sheaths of choking plastics, a careful or even a careless look around would speak for itself, of the libertine and savage manner in which this assault has taken place.

Somebody will have to pay the price for the havoc it has been wreaked upon, but nobody fears, cos nobody knows who would be victimized by the divine vengeance, ignorance is bliss, each of them are sure that their little acts have gone unnoticed and each of them are sure even if someday they do get victimized, it would not be worse than what can happen at the most, and what would certainly happen someday, thus freeing them from the fear of the consequences and imparting them an additional push to madly keep on multiplying their input to the entropy.

People are funny and smart, but while they can only be funny, they cannot be smart to the powers that they know little about, to powers which are capable of divesting the soul and reading its thoughts, you can kill and get away from the law, but you step on an ant and can't get away from this power.

Its funny everytime they do an act of selfishness, to everything mortal, everything preserved by the mystic forces, it gets jotted down in books that they don't know much about and while they can still ignore the existence of such manuscripts which would hold all their acts of irresponsibility, they should know once and for all, somebody has to bear the brunt of the mischief that they have done, and if there are powers that would go on rampage when enraged, then they be sure that there would be those powers too, which would axe the guilty.

The riding wind.

To one doused by waves returning towards the shores, the riding wind is an assurance that survival is protected by meeker forces and devastation patronized by stronger.

The sand under the feet only serves as witness to the unrelenting truth and camaraderie between the likes,... likes of forces, ...likes of dispositions, but it is indifferent, incredulous, it serves as an abyss with its ends joining the two, being the soft, wet earth for some while unwilling, recoiling, vanishing terra firma for others.

A flying bird witnesses this capricious proclivity of the earth and educates itself to dwell somewhere high up, away from its reach.

Amidst the madding crowd.

Watching the people in the crowd has its own charm, more so, of a witty manner. Watching the peculiar actions and the ways people behave in the crowd can be quite an amusing experience, some are of the type who think nobody is paying heed to what they are doing , while others are overtly conscious and their each and every act is governed by their philosphy that they are under constant and cruel scrutiny by the people around them, and then there are another altogether different and special breed of people who have to show-off, attract attention of people around them.

Most favourable places for watching people in their acts are bus stops, train stations, or a crowded market, basically every place where people gather for sometime and have some time to kill, or where people are sitting, waiting or standing aimlessly.

Talking of the first category, people who think nobody is paying attention to what they are doing such people might almost contribute a-third of the said, (well no official-stats but a guesstimate) these people are most likely seen picking their nose in a really wild and savage manner as if they have just found an enormous bulk of mucus which they had been hunting for, from a long time in that cavity and if they would not execute this task now, their prey might again be lost into infinity, and hence the urge to pick it out is so strong they almost loose the crowd around them and have a few fits of orgasm , each time their drive is successful. The other common act you can witness is people rubbing their groins through their pants in public, of course as if nobody ever saw them doing it, even if somebody did, for them it was just a gesture of giving themselves an itsy-bitsy pleasure and itch at the same time, and their vox populi would immediately consent to the fact that nobody from the public would ever mind such a tiny gesture of self-pleasure.

The second kinds ,they might not be the most interesting people in what they do, but it could be interesting to predict what they might do next, for example a very conscious girl who just walks up to a bus-stop would not look into anybody's eyes, may be just walk up to the billboard which might display the schedules of buses and their routes, this might not sound interesting to most of us, what's interesting is what she is likely to do after she has scanned the timings, fares, routes for the n-th time and finally she decides she has spent too much time scanning the info, and she better find something else to do to keep herself busy and, she most likely would walk a little backwards from the board only to step on somebody's foot, or drop the drink or her purse that she was carrying, close to some garbage neatly kept aside.

The least interesting people among these are those who decide to dedicate themselves to the entertainment of the people around them, and since everything they do is predictable and repeatable, they are monotonous and hence not too interesting to somebody who would be wishing to watch some unpredictability and a little more amateur disposition. They are most likely to talk loudly on mobile phones , laugh loudly , make sudden 360 degree turns and stand in postures that are likely to protrude their body parts which they think look awesome on them and are likely to catch people's attention. They might even show strong and sudden emotions on their face like that of disappointment or happiness to make sure they are constantly being noticed by the poor people who only watch in dismay as if some creature absconded from the city zoo.

To me, I am not known

Not a believer inside the mosque, am I,
Nor a pagan disciple of false rites,
Not the pure amongst the impure,
Neither Moses nor the Pharaoh.

Bulleh! To me, I am not known…

Not in the holy Vedas, am I,
Nor in opium, neither in wine,
Not in the drunkard’s craze,
Neither awake, nor in a sleeping daze.

Bulleh! To me, I am not known…

In happiness nor in sorrow, am I,
Neither clean, nor a filthy mire,
Not from water, nor from earth,
Neither fire, nor from air, is my birth.

Bulleh! To me, I am not known…

Not an Arab, nor Lahori,
Neither Hindi, nor Nagauri,
Hindu, Turk, nor Peshawri,
Nor do I live in Nadaun.

Bulleh! To me, I am not known…

Secrets of religion, I have not known,
From Adam and Eve, I am not born,
I am not the name I assume,
Not in stillness, nor on the move.

Bulleh! To me, I am not known…

I am the first, I am the last,
None other, have I ever known,
I am the wisest of them all,
Bulleh! Do I stand alone?

Bulleh! To me, I am not known…

Your delicacy could wipe out an entire species!!!

The rising furore between Japan and Australia over the hunting down of humpback and minke whales puts forth the need to contemplate over the question, Is the urge to follow one tradition or tasting one delicacy so intense as to have the willingness to put the existence of an entire species at stake, to wipe out the entire genre of species from the face of the earth which the nature has saved in its womb for ages?

And above all a specie which is enjoying life on its own in the deepest precincts of the earth ignorant of the existence of other species which it has nothing to do with, including humans ,and nowhere posing any threats to humans not just because it intends to live in harmony with the rest of the animate world, but because it is too busy enjoying the life in that isolated world with its own kin unaware that some deathly claws are planning to advance towards it.

Beautiful music is....beautiful !!!

There is something abt beautiful music ..which is beautiful. While few days back ..in another worthless conversation..somebody concieved the idea..that life is so much hectic and stressful these days ...that the best a man can do to relax is unplug all the accessories of electronic enjoyment the times he gets to spend with himself and rather just give complete rest to all his senses, refrain from watching idiot-box, listening to hazardous music players, even reading a newspaper or a book, rather just give all his sensory organs a complete chill..and not making them work overtime while you want to just lay back and have a good time...cos they too have already done the day's work..and need to have their peace of mind too..!!

While this is pretty debatable, cos may be the senses rather enjoy and are soothed more with say may be.. beautiful music playing in the background, or looking at a beautiful girl or watching a waterfall hidden in the sanctum of nature, or may be reading the newspaper or a novel that interests you.

Or may be...all these ideas have their own place and conditions under which they are applicable..may be at some point the senses are too fatigued to even listen to the most beautiful music or read the most interesting column and demand a complete vacation from any activity that stimulates them..and they just need to take their break and need to undergo aestivation and rejuvenate and overhaul themselves to remain receptive and agile. So may be its not that bad an idea to give your sensory organs a recluse from the rest of the world for some time.

Prejudices..!!

As you meet new people in all walks of life, you come across many of them with varying degrees of complexity inevitably inherent in the constitution of their self, their character and in their outlook as well.

Fallacies resulting from unreasonable notions or notions too insubstantial to form a reason, form inexplicable prejudices in people, and its hard to get rid of such prejudices nor even might they be willing to shed these prejudices, and its exactly this "prejudice" that causes most of the damned problems in this world.
Right from the problems that people have to cope up with in their personal lives to problems that are much more supranational in nature ,ranging from reasons why people embrace violent means for attaining their ends (which are literally endless), to discrimination of people on the basis of religion, race etc.

One of the most archetypal examples of prejudice - racism, people who belong to a certain race means they have their genes which show some prominent characteristics in say color of skin because of geographical location or environmental conditions, an example of black people would suffice the argument, they being born in equatorial climate and saharan/sub-saharan region developed a certain skin-color to cope with the climate in hundreds of years, this is how they evolved to best neutralise the harsh conditions of weather and topography in that region.

Yeah, thats what race is all about scientifically, geologically and normally, at least to all the sensible people who do not wish to think, conclude something more than obvious and necessary about this fact .And if there are good or bad people in one race, there are so in other races too, at least race is too meek a reason to disciminate against people compared to things like culture which people accept, renounce and distort at their own will .

How would it sound when somebody has prejudices against somebody else for actual racial reasons?..when A says "I hate B because he is black" it would be equivalent to saying ,"I hate B because his genes evolved themselves to live under the extreme conditions of equatorial climate, temperature and topography of Saharan and sub-saharan region"..wow doesn't it sound too convincing an argument now..!?!

Yeah, people can have their own prejudices and hence they wish to discriminate over something which is incomprehensible to be dissected in that context.

A funny analogy would be - people having prejudices against people who are not born in the same season as they are, it seems to be making a perfect recipe for racism, because skin-color is definitely a by-product of such factors.

The Romance of Zombies

Zombies are far and wide known to have been devoid of souls, legends say that they are the remains of the people who die and while their souls leave their bodies, the body itself in a partially decaying state becomes a zombie..while it is still unclear what reasons would make it a zombie , it is by and large professed that it could be some unfulfilled wish of the dead or the wish of the body itself to dwell on its undead counterparts.

Zombies are also known to have no will or consciousness, quite contrary to their callous cousins -vampires, which are intelligent enough to trap their victims and ensnare them into situations where they find it difficult to escape from their claws. Also, since vampires seem to have a purpose or a diligent determination to suck blood of as many humans as possible and for as long as possible , they are pretty ambitious and focused on what they want in life (read : of life).

Zombies on the other hand are absolutely purposeless, even if they are supposed to suck human blood, they are too aimless to realize that, this instils into the story of zombies a flavour of reticence and innocence....even if they do suck on human blood .., they dont do so out of perversity or desire..., rather they do it out of helplessness, their inability to be decisive enough on how to entertain the humans makes them blood-suckers, they were too disoriented to prey on a human or entrap their victims, the one who would at all get victimized to a zombie would perhaps be on his way to self-annihilation. Zombies could make excellent trekkers in this sense, they would just go about places with their only intent to keep walking except that they would lack the interest to stop and take a look at the picturesque lansdcape, if there happens to be.

Another aspect of zombies , largely imitated by their human counterparts is zombie-walk, but its not the style of walking which should be characterised of zombies, rather its the nature of the walk itself which is purposeless and aimless ,and which should actually define zombie-walk.

Hazards of IPOD

One of the most overused electronic music players developed in recent times is also the most underrated electronic devices, at least by the consortium of the scientists who keep on harping upon the effects of the mobile phones and CRT screens, the hazards have not just to be rated over the scale which measures the intensity of harm it incurs on the health of its users or the effects it makes on the biological make-up of the human beings, but rather it has to be made on the effects that it makes on the social life of its users too.

Numerous findings by the socio-scientific fraternity have shown a sick man is bound to get more sick...if he has no social life or a healthy man is likely to fall sick under the slightest of instants if he has no social life either.

Still when they come up with such a product , they hardly do an investigation over its impacts on the social life of its users or even if they do ..their studies hardly reveal any significant results which they may have come up with.

Numerous innocent, gullible users dress up in the morning, plug this marvellous piece of electronic art onto their eardrums..and walk out of their homes with the morning bloom on their face and confidence in their persona, hardly realising what else emanates from them apart from the tune thats likely to shake anybody's ass cha-cha-cha.

Many of them commute on public transportations-buses or trains and not realising as each day passes by, the people who never used to mind sitting next to you on a beautiful day when seats in the bus were comfortably vacant and there was plenty of space to choose the seat of your choice, the same people wouldn't want to do the same on a crowded day when probably the only possible seat left empty was the one next to you...but its users never realised, they were too busy shuffling songs or adjusting the equaliser settings to the one which sounded the best for the song they were listening to.

But the story doesn't end here, the vile device has more on its mind to play.

The unsuspecting user steps into the office passing a smile and "Hello" to everyone on way ,hardly caring if they replied back or frowned back in reply.Just too eager to check his mails, with still the little devil sucking on his ears the user logs into his system and starts getting lost into the web, still busy and deeply engrossed, suddenly his biological-cum-digestive system feels the urge to release a gust of gas to balance the pressure of air on both sides, and the user still unperturbed and unaware of the processes going on in his stomach and too occupied with the processes running under the task manager, voluntarily or involuntarily releases the air with no intents of minimizing the auditory overtones that this might produce, since the little devil kept the brain under the impression that the people around too are living in a world with loud music ringing against their eardrums!!
(To the uninitiated : Please read again!!)
