Beneath the fears.

All of us have fears, fears of the living, fears of the dead, fears of the light, fears of the dark, but there are certain fears that can't be categorized among any of these, there are all sorts of weird things that exist and some of us know about them, some of us don't, but then there are certain things that exist and we all know that it exists, but we dont know what is it..we are just aware of its presence, but we cant tell its form, we can tell that its watching us, but we aint sure what it intends, whatever it is, it is too powerful to be a human, too patient to be mortal, too nimble to be inanimate and too subtle to be docile.

It constantly keeps oscillating in the panoramic view of the visual perceptions, but its too quick for the nerves to decode its pattern. You dont know its contours, nor you are ever sure of its co-ordinates and nobody can predict what it wants, nor anybody can relate some of the strange things that happen in our lives with it, but it does instil into the blood, in the gray matter, into the minuscule driblets of sweat on the foreheard, drop-by-drop, a strange fear, a fear of the unknown.

It walks as you walk, it stops as you stop, or sometimes makes a full circle around you , as you stand still, it listens to what you say, and it listens to what you don't, it does not speak, but it can make a sound when its dark, and when there is nobody around, and when your sleep is fragile, it makes meekly audible sounds, clear enough to be heard, difficult enough to be deciphered, but once you hear it , you can't ignore it and you cant explain it, it fastens your heartbeat, numbs your feet, and you are completely awake from your sleep and you wish that you were not, and you wish it was just a figment of your imagination, but your brain simply refuses to accept such refutations, it cant accuse its own self for performing its function.

It knows that it is always around, always in the viewport, but when you are alone and when its dark it emerges from the background.

Denial has been in the flesh and blood of the humans, they denied the God and crucified the Christ, they denied his wisdom and poisoned Socrates, but disbelief does not affect the truth, though it does acknowledge it in a way, somewhere in the remotest precincts of the brain.
