This is probably the first time am posting something on one of my blogs in the first person, not that i am against posting on the blogs in the first person, but i somehow believe my piece of personal-shit (pardon my vulgarity) as opposed to official-shit (which is all this blog is all about) is only for myself ..and that i dont have to go blabbering about it on my blog...Anyws also that i think i am one of the greatest (self-proclaimed) advocates of anti-prejudicism ...i decided to give in..!! :(
But am pretty sure this would rather be an exception than everytime explicitly expressing (watch the alliteration!!) my thoughts as my own rather than implicitly trying to express it as general opinion which is also usually a more agreeable one.
Anyhow, I remember while i was still in the school and in the initial years of my college...i was a real big fan of Jagjit Singh..had come across some of his best and marvellous gazals in those times, and which are still close to my heart,...anyws how today i suddenly started reflecting upon this is cos i came across this gazal of his and liked it instantly...(dunno how i missed out on this beautiful gazal of his all this time!) :
kabhi guncha kabhi shola kabhi shabnam kee tarah
log milte hain badalte huye mausam kee tarah
mere mehboob mere pyaar ko ilzaam na de
hijr mein eed manaayee hai moharrum ki tarah
maine khushboo kee tarah tujhko kiya hai mehsoos
dil ne chheda hai teri yaad ko shabnam ki tarah
kaise ham-dard ho tum kaisee masihaayee hai
dil pe nashtar bhi lagaate ho to marham ki tarah
